Standardized Testing

Standardized testing is not required in the state of Montana. However, there are multiple reasons why homeschool parents would choose to have their students tested periodically. MATCHE will offer an opportunity for standardized testing of students in third through eighth grade annually.

Standardized Testing dates for this year are May 26-27, 2021

The Iowa Test will be administered to students who have completed grades 3 through 8 on Wednesday and Thursday, May 26-27, in Hamilton. Testing is offered exclusively to MATCHE member families, using a homeschool testing service that provides the results directly and exclusively to the parents. Pre-registration is required as each student's test must be ordered by the parents in advance. Please contact us by email to matcheonline@gmail.com for specific ordering instruction and additional information. The cost is approximately $25 per student, but varies based on parent preferences when tests are ordered directly through the testing service. MATCHE does not charge any fee for test proctoring or administration.

All pre-registrations for the Iowa Test must be completed no later than Friday, April 30, 2021.

PSAT Practice Test for MATCHE members on Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Offered at Grace Gospel Fellowship in Hamilton, 8:45am - 12:00pm

The PSAT is traditionally taken in the fall of the sophomore & junior years. Juniors taking the PSAT may be eligible for National Merit Scholarships, especially helpful for college-bound homeschoolers in the 94th percentile and above. MATCHE is offering an unofficial paper practice test that students would take home to be graded by the parents (answer key to be sent out after the testing), in order to get exposure to a live test setting and practice taking the test. Please contact Leah Duke for additional information and register no later than Sept 12: jnlduke@gmail.com, call 777-1135, or text 493-4293. She will need each student's name, grade, email, and phone number.
